You can’t listen to them the way you listen to a normal human being. If you want to force a confession out of them without them even realizing they’re giving it to you, you have to use the rule of inversion.
What does that mean? It means you take exactly what they’re saying to you, flip it entirely upside down, and believe the exact opposite.
A narcissist doesn’t use words to express reality. They use words to hide reality. Their entire existence is a massive cover-up operation because they’re completely hollow and filled with toxic shame. Their mind uses a defense mechanism we know as projection.
Projection is like looking into a funhouse mirror. They take all of their own dark, ugly, hidden traits and reflect them onto you. At the same time, they take all of your beautiful, bright, loving traits and try to steal them for themselves. Because of this, every single thing they say is a confession—but it’s spoken in a backwards language.
Once you learn how to translate that backwards language, the confusion disappears permanently.
Let’s look at exactly what I mean by breaking down the different areas of your life with them. First, let’s look at their accusations and your loyalty.
You know how insanely jealous narcissists are. They constantly accuse you of looking at other people. They check your phone. They interrogate you when you come home 5 minutes late from work. They look you dead in the eye and say, “I know you are cheating on me. I know you’re lying to me. You are untrustworthy. You drive yourself insane trying to prove your innocence. You stop stalking to your friends. You share your location on your phone, and you isolate yourself just to make them feel secure.”
But you’re missing the confession.
