Number two: you stall them of real data and feed them wrong information. Narcissists are information junkies. They constantly spy on you because they need raw data to build their traps and control your life. They read your text messages, look through your personal things, watch your schedule, and use common friends as flying monkeys to dig for dirt on you.

If you try to completely hide your life from them, they will just dig harder and get more aggressive. To deactivate them in this second stage, you stop trying to protect your data pipeline. Instead, you intentionally poison it by feeding them wrong information. You lead them into a dead end. You let them accidentally discover a note, a calendar date, or a piece of harmless information that is completely wrong. You let them chase goals.

For example, you may leave a note on the counter about an event you have absolutely no intention of going to, or mention a fake plan to someone you know will run straight back and tell them.

The narcissist will greedily grab this fake info, thinking they have found fresh ammunition to trap you or ruin your name. They will spend days or weeks building a massive plot around this data. But when they finally try to spring their trap in public or in front of others, it blows up directly in their face. The information is totally false, and they end up looking completely desperate, foolish, and erratic to everyone around them.

By making them chase goals, you exhaust their energy and leave their entire spy network running in circles.
